The Wolfie Bucks system is a mini-economy used throughout the fourth grade classes at Wolftrap. Students each have a wallet in which they store the money that they earn. All students earn Wolfie Bucks weekly for completing their class job. Students may also earn money for showing exemplary behavior and other displays of going "above and beyond". In addition, Mr. Triche uses Wolfie Bucks as a motivator during class competitions. Finally, students may earn Wolfie Bucks by selling handmade items at the Kid Store.

Students are able to use their Wolfie Bucks in various ways. Most students prefer to save their money in order to spend it at the Teacher Store and/or the Kid Store. Some students have to use their Wolfie Bucks in order to purchase various school supplies such as pencils and erasers. They may also choose to use their money to earn special privileges such as "Lunch with the Teacher" or extra recess time. Students sometimes lose Wolfie Bucks as a consequence for poor behavior and/or poor work habits.
